Welcome to my author website!
If you love dragons, sword and sorcery, romance and high adventure, with a little magic in the mix, well, you have come to the right place!
A little about me:
My name is Carolyn Wolfe, (former last names are Edmonds and Overington.) I am a freelance writer and poet and author of seven books that range in readership from bedtime stories for very young children, to adult fantasy. I live and write in Winchester, VA, and share my home with my wonderful artist/ photographer husband and our houseful of animal companions.
A little about my personal philosophy:
I consider myself to be a spiritual person, who believes that all things are Sacred, including the earth herself and all the beings upon it. I am an animal advocate/activist and a Vegetarian. My work tends to reflect these deep seated beliefs. Oh and I love Dragons!

A little about my Illustrators:
Leslie Mathis is a wonderful artist, graphic artist, and illustrator. She illustrated my first three children's books,The Unhappy Dragon, Lessons Begin, The Unhappy Dragon, Lessons Learned, and The Bedtime Of The Sky and Other Sleepy Bye Stories. She created this gem of a video in order to introduce The Bedtime Of The Sky..... and I would love for you to take a peek!
Rosemarie Gillen is a talented and accomplished children's book illustrator. She has illustrated my latest book,The Drowsy House, with charming and often comical characters, that make my story come alive! I especially love the cover she has created, of the house itself, with a hauntingly beautiful full Moon shining down on it. The Drowsy House is expected to be released by Christmas 2014.
A little about my Publishers:
Avid Readers Publishing Group, Publisher, Eric Patterson- California based
I would like to tell you a bit about my children's and poetry book publisher, ARPG! I cannot say enough great things about them. They are a wonderful company that gives so very much to their authors- in time, patience, advice and wonderful services! It is so helpful to have someone who cares as much as you do about your work and puts a great deal of time and effort into making your dreams become reality. I recommend them highly! Eric Patterson is the owner and Publisher and he makes all this publishing biz look easy!
Moon Rose Publishing, Publisher, Miranda Stork- England based
This is an exciting new publisher for me that specializes in fantasy, sword and sorcery and very hot romance! No kid stuff here! I am so happy to be among her authors, and have recently been published in an Anthology, "A Celtic Tapestry, that has eight stories related to the Celtic Seasonal Holiday Wheel of the Year. Each story revolves around one of the major holidays. My story, "Blade's Magic" celebrates the holiday of Midsummer. A Celtic Tapestry has now been introduced as a series of ebooks, where each of the stories is available and can be purchased individually, as short novellas. These are all available on http://www.amazon.com/.
Just wanted to add that Miranda Stork, is an amazingly talented author and artist as well as the publisher of Moon Rose Publishing. She is creative, supportive, and very helpful to all her authors, and I am very lucky to be one of them!
A little about my books:
The poetry in "When The Moon Speaks" is eclectic and has been compiled from over thirty years of my life, from College days to the New Millenium. It is about magic, nature, politics and a bit of philosophy thrown in for good measure. This book was published in 2007 by Publish America. (not ARPG)
My first Children's book which was released in Nov 2008 by ARPG, "The Unhappy Little Dragon, Lessons Begin" is an illustrated story book about a little Dragon that has problems controlling his own fire. The illustrations are beautifully drawn by artist Leslie Mathis!
My second Children's book which was released in Nov 2008 by ARPG, "The Unhappy Little Dragon, Lessons Learned" is the sequel to the story about the little Dragon whom has problems controlling his own fire. It contains the first book, and then completes the little dragon's story! The illustrations again are beautifully drawn by artist Leslie Mathis!
"Notes from The Shadow Self " is my second book of poetry, released in April 2010 by ARPG, and is a mood piece. These poems explore the darker or shadow side of the personality, letting inner and more edgier thoughts come forward in order to shed a little light on the subject. This includes a collection of my previously published poetry as well as a few new pieces. Cover photography by S. Douglas Wolfe.
"The Moonsparrow Collection" released in April 2010 by ARPG, is a collection of my short, fantasy/fiction stories and includes both previously published work and some brand new fantasy mixed with a little magic and romance. I have introduced these stories at local festivals and events in the area, in my role as storyteller! Cover photography by S. Douglas Wolfe.
My third children's book was released Summer 2010, by ARPG is titled"The Bedtime Of The Sky and Other Sleepy Bye Stories" and is a collection of children's stories in rhyme written especially for bedtime reading! This book is also charmingly illustrated by artist Leslie Mathis, who makes the stories come alive with her artwork.
My newest book, "Blade's Magic" was first released in March 2013, as part of the "A Celtic Tapestry" Anthology by Moon Rose Publishing. It was then released as an individual e-book, in Dec 31, 2013, as part of the A Celtic Tapestry Series of e-books. Avail at amazon.com
My books are available to be purchased online at: amazon.com, amazon.com.uk, BarnesandNoble.com, and Froogle. They are also all available as E-books.

There is a great website: www.freekibble.com
That feeds hungry dogs and cats that are in shelters around the country, and they do it for free!
You just answer fun trivia questions and they donate 10 pieces of Kibble to shelters. It is completely free and it does not matter if you get the answer wrong or right, the kibble gets donated to hungry animals and you have a fun time learning new and interesting animal facts. Sounds great to me. I hope to see you there!
Another great site is Care 2 Give.com, this site gives you the opportunity to get involved in saving the planet, people and animals, with just a click-and it's free! What's not to like?
